Many of us would know that February was a special month for us all, as we welcomed the presence of our Governor, Janet Atkinson to Division 23 for one entire week. The week was filled with activities for the Governor and for those who thought she would never be able to keep up with the happenings in the Division and Jamaica, you were wrong. Governor Atkinson's week was filled with meetings, club visits and project visits and a few social events here and there, she made her presence known and loved by many.
Governor Atkinson engaged in Division 23 activities from February 6-12, 2012 and made mention that the Division was doing a tremendous job as a family.
Some of the most memorable events attended by the Kiwanis Club of Old Harbour during the Governor's visit were the
1. Governor's Meeting, hosted by the Kiwanis Club of First City and Portmore held at Arians Restaurant, Twickenham Park, Spanish Town
2. Caucus Meeting, held at Caymanas Country Club
3. Cocktail Party, held in Stony Hill, St. Andrew, which was hosted by LG Stanwell Dunwell.
The Governor's meeting was the chance for many Kiwanians meet and greet the Governor after the delivery of a short, concise and to the point message to the Division about her aims and objectives as the Governor for the administrative year 2012/2013.
The Caucus meeting which was attended by Presidents, Secretaries and the Divisional Team of Division 23 West was well attended where the Eliminate Project was launched with the presence of the Governor, who again shared her goals as a Kiwanian and declared her dedication to all Kiwanis projects.

The Governor's visit was a great one and the activities were just as great and did we mention, we had even a greater time at the Governor's Farewell Cocktail Party which was hosted by LG Stanley Dunwell.
